AIEA Proudly Welcomes Jane Gatewood as President

At AIEA 2026, we proudly congratulated and welcomed our new AIEA President, Jane Gatewood. The leadership transition marked a meaningful milestone for our Association as Paulo Zagalo-Melo officially passed the gavel, reflecting on one chapter of steadfast, dedicated leadership and opening another filled with promise and possibility. At this meaningful transition moment, we also thanked 2024-2025 AIEA President and 2026 Conference Chair, Amir Reza, for his many years of service to the Board; welcomed Jill Blondin as new AIEA President-Elect; and re-met Paulo as Immediate Past President and 2027 Conference Chair. We look forward to seeing what this next year holds with Jane’s presidency, and are grateful to the many dedicated, visionary leaders on the AIEA Board, Committees, Task Forces, and among our membership who are advancing the Association and the field of international education every day.
