Leader +1 Campaign
The Leader+1 Membership Campaign seeks to identify and encourage the next generation of leaders in international education to join AIEA and actively engage in shaping the future of higher education. Through this initiative, current AIEA members may nominate eligible first-time members to join us and receive 50% off their first year of membership. It’s a fantastic opportunity for new members to be a part of our global network of leaders, access exclusive professional development opportunities, and build meaningful connections with colleagues across the field – all while enjoying a significant discount on their first year of membership.
Each nomination helps strengthen and diversify our membership by welcoming new voices and perspectives into the AIEA community. In appreciation of their important role in growing and strengthening our community of international education leaders, members who nominate colleagues through the Leader +1 program are entered into a raffle to win a complimentary AIEA Annual Conference registration.
There is no limit to the number of colleagues you can invite to join AIEA through this program.
Step One
AIEA Member Nominates a Colleague
Current members are invited to nominate prospective members who demonstrate strong potential as future leaders in the field of international education. Nominees must be first-time members and must not have previously held an AIEA membership, regardless of any institutional or position changes. The nomination form can be found in the Membership Hub . There is no limit to the number of colleagues you can nominate to join AIEA through this program.
Step Two
Nominee is Notified of Next Steps
We’ll reach out to the nominee to introduce them to AIEA and guide them through their next steps to begin their membership journey. As part of the Leader +1 Campaign, the nominee will receive a 50% discount on their first year of AIEA membership and can begin taking advantage of member benefits while engaging with our community of international education leaders.
Step Two
Nominator is Entered to Win
In appreciation of members who help expand and strengthen the AIEA community, nominators are entered into a drawing to win a complimentary AIEA Annual Conference registration which may be used personally or shared with a fellow international education leader. Even better, each Leader +1 nomination counts as a separate entry – so the more emerging leaders you nominate, the greater your chances to win and the greater your lasting impact on the future of our community.
