Association of International Education Administrators Announces 2025-2026 Presidential Fellows

Durham, NC (October 2, 2025) — The Association of International Education Administrators (AIEA) is pleased to announce that four international education leaders have been selected as the association’s 2025-2026 Presidential Fellows. The AIEA Presidential Fellows program is a highly competitive and distinguished year-long mentorship initiative that matches international education leaders with experienced senior level leaders in their field.

The AIEA Presidential Fellows Committee has selected the following candidates as this year’s fellowship recipients: Amy Conger, Vice Provost for Global Engagement at North Carolina State University; Christina Isabelli, Associate Provost for Global Engagement at Gonzaga University; Jamie McGowan, Executive Director/Senior International Officer at University of Vermont; and Sally Mudiamu, Ed.D., Dean of Global Engagement at Montana State University.

Bringing extensive knowledge and experience to their roles as Mentors for the 2025-2026 Presidential Fellows are: David L. Di Maria, Vice Provost for Global Engagement at University of Maryland Baltimore County; Susan Popko, Associate Provost for International Programs at Santa Clara University; Joanna Regulska, Ph.D., Vice Provost and Dean of Global Affairs at UC Davis; and Kalpen Trivedi, Senior Vice Provost at the University of Massachusetts Amherst.

The program provides Fellows with the opportunity to observe how their Mentors operate within their institutional context, address international education challenges and solve problems, and become a member of AIEA’s international network that can serve as a resource beyond the Presidential Fellows program. Preference is given to candidates who have been in their current role for three years or fewer, and candidates based outside the US are particularly encouraged to apply. Fellows receive a stipend facilitate a weeklong visit their Mentor’s campus to immerse themselves in the day-to-day activities of their host institutions, observing the policies, politics, and procedures of their host institution and maximize learning opportunities. Mentors are also encouraged to plan a shorter visit to their Fellow’s campus to better understand their unique challenges and opportunities.
